It seems that most people of today are free to carry guns everywhere and anywhere they please. Although by law it is allowed for individuals to carry guns, many individuals use them for unnecessary reasons. As time increases so does the accessibility to get guns. They are easily stolen, pawned, and bought from whoever is selling.
Gun users have gotten out of control and innocent bystanders who could have greatly contributed to this society are now in their graves. In this time, it is too easy to become an irresponsible user of lethal weapons such as guns. Because of the multitude of irresponsible people it has become unsafe to go to ordinary places and many fear for their lives. Over the last years there has been an increase in school killings domestic violence and workplace shootings.These unnecessary acts of violence are the result of putting a gun in anyone's hands that have bad intentions for the use of them.
On December 14, 2013 twenty-six people were shot and killed, twenty were children and six were adults. The man that murdered them had three guns that were not registered to him. He easily found the guns that his mother had, armed every last one of them, and killed a school full of innocent men, women, and children. People like this are living proof of why giving guns to every citizen that asks for them are a bad choice if they are in the hands of someone with no regard for human life.
How does one person even have access to so many guns? The law allows for any person to have an unlimited amount of guns with no questions asked. I feel that anyone that does own a gun should only use it for protecting yourself in a life or death situation. Otherwise, people should not just randomly kill others on their own accord. Even if gun owners don't use guns regularly they need to make sure their weapons are in a safe place. Just because you don't use them doesn't mean somebody else can't either.
Gun owners need to think about the proper time and place to use their guns because there has been more death over nonsense. In a world where everyone has a gun it has become harder to try and live out normal lives. You never know who could have guns and what they could have on their minds.
